account & device set up

We first need to sign up for a developer account on https://ibis.comcast.com/login.

Then we need to select “Manage devices” from the hamburger menu followed by “Add devices by Easy Pair”.

Enter the name of your device (ex. model number) and then click on “Get Pairing Code”.

On your Comcast device, open the Easy Pair app. You can do this in 3 different ways:

  1. Say "Easy Pair" into your X1 remote.

  2. Open the X1 menu, navigate to Apps, and find the Easy Pair app.

  3. For Flex or Syndication devices, on your remote enter MENU, UP, UP, 2 and then when you see the prompt appear, enter: 7, 2, 4, 7.

Now enter the pairing code that you see on the website onto your Comcast device and click “Pair”.

Launching the app

Now that the device is paired, open the hamburger menu button on the website again and click “Develop and test apps” then “Select a device to get started”.

Select the device we just paired and then under Basic Parameters enter the build URL you want to test.

Click App Id and select the correct ID (this may automatically appear depending on the email that you signed up with).

Finally, click the blue “Launch” button.
